Due to the ongoing concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic and the safety of our members, the HECA Board and Denver Conference Co-Chairs have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Conference scheduled for June 15 -19 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center.  We know so many of you were looking forward to this annual gathering of our members, loyal sponsors, college reps, exhibitors and affiliates, but considering these tumultuous times we felt it was in the best interest of everyone to cancel.
Below is a list of what we hope are helpful answers to your
questions regarding the conference

Will the conference be rescheduled?
The 2020 HECA conference will not be rescheduled. But w
e are pleased to announce that HECA will return to the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center for the 2022 Denver Conference. The same venue, different year. And of course, we look forward to the HECA 2021 Conference in Atlanta.

Will my conference registration fee be refunded, including pre and post-conference college tours?

HECA will refund full registration fees (no cancellation fee) to the original form of payment.  This includes PDI, pre-conference programs, the conference and college tours. We hope to process all registration fees by May 15, 2020.  We ask for your patience as this will take some time.

What about my lodging arrangements?

If you booked within the HECA room block, the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center has already canceled all rooms that were booked without charge.  You do not need to contact the hotel or cancel your reservation on your own. Due to limited staff, the Hyatt has requested that you do not contact the hotel directly at this time.

What about my travel arrangements?

Please refer to the policies pertaining to the cancellation associated with other reservations, including airline, hotel, car rental or other companies. HECA is neither responsible nor can we assist with the cancellation of reservations made to attend the conference.

I submitted a session proposal and it was confirmed.  Can I present it next year?

We thank you for submitting a session proposal and your willingness to contribute to the HECA conference.  We encourage you to submit a session proposal for our 2021 Atlanta Conference. Session proposal requests will be sent out in the fall of 2020.

How will HECA conduct our annual general membership meeting?

Plans are underway to conduct our annual general membership meeting via a virtual platform. Many of the NACAC Affiliates are holding their business meetings in this format. You will be notified in a future email in reference to the date and time of the meeting.

I have a question that was not answered here. Please contact the appropriate Chair below.

If you have additional questions, please contact Aralyse Johnson, HECA Special Events and Projects Assistant, at assistant@hecaonline.org, and we will do our best to provide answers.
