3rd Annual Marlyn Doan Memorial Scholarship -
Introduction & Eligibility

Marlyn Doan was a HECA member from Washington State who served students and their families for over 20 years before her untimely death. In particular, she was devoted to students with learning and behavioral challenges. In her memory, HECA established a scholarship fund in 2005 for students with documented learning and developmental differences.  HECA members are encouraged to nominate eligible high school seniors who plan to continue their education next fall.

This year, two students will be awarded a $2000 scholarship. It is the expectation of HECA that this award will be used toward tuition, books, or other school-related expenses.

The application period for this year is now closed.
Scholarship winners will be announced at
the HECA Annual Meeting in June.
