HECA Standards and Ethics Statement

The mission of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) is to support and advance the work of educational consultants as they work with students and families in the transition from secondary schools to undergraduate and graduate programs. 

In light of this mission, the HECA Board of Directors has approved a Statement of Standards of Ethics for HECA members. 

Guided by the core values of sound advice, integrity, respect and confidentiality,  HECA members pledge to act in accordance with the following Principles and Standards:

1. Standards for Working with Students and Families
2. Standards with Respect to Relations With High Schools and Colleges
3. Standards for the Educational Consulting Profession
4. Code of Conduct for Individual Consultants
