Marlyn Doan Memorial Scholarship

Marlyn Doan was a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association and served students and their families for over twenty years before her untimely death. In particular, Ms. Doan was devoted to students with learning and developmental challenges. In her memory, HECA established a scholarship fund in 2005 for students with documented learning and developmental differences.

In 2010, up to two $1500 Marlyn Doan Memorial Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who meet the eligiblity requirements.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

• The student must be working with a consultant who is a current HECA member.
• The student is a current high school senior graduating in the class of 2010.
• The student has a current documented learning or developmental difference.
• The student will enroll as a full-time or part-time student in Fall 2010 at an accredited not-for-profit two- or four-year college/university or technical school.
